Instructor Biography & Agency Info.

The Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board, the North Carolina Licensing Board, and the Kentucky State Licensing Board, currently require that all persons in possession of an active electrical licenses, are required to complete 8-hrs (OH), 8-hrs (NC) & 6-hrs (KY) of continuing education, before their license can be renewed each year. (Ohio Administrative Code 4101:16-2-01)

The Ohio Electrical Training Agency has been setup to help Ohio, NC & Kentucky ME/EE license holders, achieve their compliance training, through OCILB class seminars that are held around the state, in all major cities and suburbs.

Classes consist of lecture, multi-media presentation and discussion, with completion certificates issued at the end of the day. Class hours are from 6:30am - 3:00pm, with beverages and lunch provided. License holders who need just 2 or 4-hours to complete their requirements, are also welcome to attend at a reduced cost.

The Ohio Electrical Training Agency is owned, operated and instructed by Joe Ponzio, a Licensed Master Electrician, and business owner with 43+ years in the electrical field.

Joe Ponzio is a US Navy veteran, with experience in the health care industry, low voltage HVAC and automation, as well as residential, commercial and industrial construction, and is OSHA Certified. As a licensed electrical contractor and business owner for over 7 years in New York City, Joe has the knowledge and experience, and shares this through his 8 hour code compliance training seminars

For many years, Joe has trained new apprentices up to the journeyman stage and beyond, and has trained new electricians as part of the Apprenticeship Training Program, as recognized by the State of Ohio Apprenticeship Council.

Classes are being added, and seating is limited, so register here at the site or by phone to reserve your seat. Compliance certificates are issued at the end of each class, and we accept cash, check, credit cards or money order on the day of the class. Please arrive early, as registration will take place before the class begins.
